Admission Process

Preschool, Pre-Primary & Class 1

Registration for admission will start as per the dates announced by the Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi.

Documents required at the time of Registration: Date of birth certificate issued by MCD/Hospital/Tehsildar or Affidavit by Parent

General Admission Guidelines

  • Admission in preschool will be done as per current procedure & Education Department of Delhi Government.
  • Admission in higher classes (UKG to VIII) will be done on the basis of TC/SLC, only if vacancy exists as per RTE.
  • Submission of copy of date of birth, Aadhar card of child is compulsory at the time of admission. Copy of Aadhar card of father & mother is also compulsory as per DISE.
  • No direct admission will be done in classes X & XII.
  • Admission to IX & XI will be done strictly on merit only subject to availability of seats.

EWS Admission (Economically Weaker Section)

  • 25% admission in class LKG (preschool) only will be done as per the rules of Education Department.
  • Parents to apply online & successful parents to submit all documents as applicable.
  • Income certificate should be valid as on 1st April (current session) & issued by Tehsildar/SDM Office only Delhi.

Documents Required

A. For Pre-School, Pre-Primary & 1st

  • Date of birth certificate (xerox) issued by Civic Authorities
  • Address proof/Aadhar Card
  • Two (2) passport size photographs of student, father, mother
  • Medical fitness certificate from MBBS showing height, weight, blood group & fitness

B. For Class 2nd to 11th

  • SLC/TC countersigned by Education Officer
  • Two (2) passport size photographs of student, father, mother
  • Address proof
  • Medical fitness certificate from MBBS showing height, weight, blood group & fitness

C. Class X & XII

Note: No Direct Admission

Important: Aadhar card copy is compulsory for admission (Child, Father & Mother).

Rules & Regulations

Guidelines for maintaining discipline and excellence

  • Students must carry their almanac to school every day. It must have their photograph and identification information and be signed by parents.
  • Students should be neatly dressed. The school uniform is to be worn on all working days. Strict action will be taken against students who do not adhere to the uniform norms of the school.
  • Prescribed color and style of uniform is only permitted.
  • Shirts should be properly tucked in.
  • Boys should cut their hair at regular intervals. No spikes or streaks are permitted. Girls should plait their hair if it is below their shoulder; short hair should be neatly cut and pinned.
  • Students are expected to respect the property of others. This includes respect for school property. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or the principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who causes it.
  • The school will not be responsible for goods lost. It is advisable not to bring valuable articles like expensive watches, pens, mobiles, i-pods, cameras, pen drives, CDs to school.
  • Students are not to wear any jewellery to school (e.g. chains, rings, bangles). Girls may wear only one pair of earrings or studs.
  • Students who come to school in the care of servants should never leave before the servant arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
  • Students should be polite wherever they go. Bullying and use of foul language is a punishable offence.
  • The school reserves the right to suspend or take disciplinary action against a student whose diligence/behaviour/respect to teachers and seniors is not as per school norms.
  • As far as possible, once a child has come to school, they should not be taken home on half day leave. No short leave will be granted under any circumstances on the weekly test days.
  • Students should get their report cards signed by their parents/guardians within five days of receipt and return them to the class teacher. If lost, a fine will be imposed.
  • Students are expected to maintain discipline while travelling in the school bus. If found misbehaving, the bus facility will be withdrawn with immediate effect.
  • The observance of rules of discipline of the school and good behaviour is an essential condition to a student's continuance in the school. In case a student violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline, strict action shall be taken.

Fee Refund Policy

If any newly admitted student wishes to withdraw from school due to any reason: The tuition fee other than that of up to current month will be refunded.

*NOTE: SCHOOL DOES NOT TAKE ANY SECURITY OR CAUTION MONEY

Fee Payment Guidelines

  • Student monthly fee is to be deposited by 15th of every month.
  • A fine of Rs. 50/- will be imposed if fee is paid after 15th up to last day of month.
  • Non-payment of fee up to 30th will result in striking off the name. However, re-admission can be done.
  • Fee will be taken by Demand Draft/Cheque only in favour of "GYAN SAGAR PUBLIC SCHOOL" & also by RTGS in school account.
  • In case of cheque bouncing (due to insufficient fund, mismatch of signature, overwriting, blurring or any other reason given by the bank etc.) a penalty of Rs. 250/- will be imposed along with fee in cash.
  • Parents can deposit fee monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly as per their convenience. However, fee of May & June is to be deposited in May itself & fee of Feb & March is to be deposited in Feb itself (session ending).
  • Fee once deposited will not be refunded at any cost.
